Download ContestLogX
ContestLogX is currently in beta. Download the latest version for your platform below.
First launch on macOS
ContestLogX for macOS is signed ad-hoc (not notarized by Apple), so on first launch Gatekeeper will block it with the message "ContestLogX.app was blocked to protect your Mac." This is expected. Choose either option below to unlock the app:
Option A — Via System Settings (recommended for most users)
- Double-click
ContestLogX.apponce. macOS will show a warning dialog; click Done. - Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to the Security section. You will see "ContestLogX.app was blocked to protect your Mac." with an Open Anyway button — click it.
- Authenticate with Touch ID or your password. The app will launch and is trusted from now on.
Option B — Via Terminal (one command)
After dragging ContestLogX.app into /Applications, open
Terminal and run:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/ContestLogX.app This removes the download-quarantine flag macOS sets on files from the internet. After that, double-click normally to launch.
Microphone access (CW Decoder)
When you first enable the CW Decoder and select an audio input device, macOS will ask permission to use the microphone — click Allow. Without this, the decoder will receive a silent stream and produce no output.
